Flying Dogs

These are some of the great causes that I have chosen to follow and support. My passion for flying and love of dogs made the Flying Dogs Club a natural fit. I have very fond memories of flying in North Bay with my young Golden Retriever Mad Max. It takes a special kind of dog to be calm in a small airplane. Max was special indeed.

WAG is a great organization in Whistler BC which helps animals in need. They are a creative bunch who are very active in the community, looking after the best interests of the dogs & cats who need shelter and a new home.

Squamish Helping Hands is a local organization which operates to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless. They have counsellors on hand 24-7 to help people cope and ultimately get back on their feet again.

The Chamber is Squamish is an active business networking group. They offer many venues for local business to promote their services and mingle with other like minded entrepreneurs. The Chamber is also the collective voice provincially & nationally which can lobby the government on issues that affect the small, medium and lg business operators. I have been on the board of directors for several years and enjoy supporting local business in my daily Squamish life.

Breast Cancer research is another cause that I support because it is near to my heart. I lost a very good friend Sharon Evans to the disease at 38 years young.  Cancer seems to be an epidemic these days. It has touched the lives of too many people & dogs.  It is time to put an end to the suffering.
